SYNTHIC / PRODUCT REFERENCE

How to improve AI search visibility

Start with reachable public pages and useful, verifiable answers to buyer questions. Then collect a consistent baseline, fix one evidence-backed problem and compare later observations. There is no switch that guarantees an AI recommendation.

Start with a question and its original answer

Choose questions your buyers genuinely ask before knowing your brand: what the product does, who it fits, what it costs, and how a particular workflow works. Record the exact wording, collection method, model and date, and preserve the original answer.

Separate a missing mention from an incorrect claim or an absent citation. Each suggests different work. In Synthic, inspect the answer and available sources before creating an action; retain completed zero results and separate failed requests.

Check what the public page delivers

Inspect the exact URL, response status, robots directives and readable HTML. A 200 response can be a challenge screen. A robots allowance does not bypass authentication or a CDN firewall. Important product facts should be readable in the initial HTML instead of existing only inside an animation or after a click.

Google’s search documentation emphasizes crawlable, indexable pages with useful content and eligible snippets. OpenAI identifies OAI-SearchBot as its search crawler. Permit intended public content while keeping account pages, APIs and workspace records protected. Search access and model-training access are separate decisions.

Publish a product reference a reader can verify

Keep your product name, public domain, capabilities, supported integrations, price and limitations consistent across the homepage, product pages and pricing page. Give each important claim a stable public destination. Update outdated statements when the product changes.

Write from the product’s actual behavior. A worked example with explicit inputs and calculation is more useful than an unsupported success percentage. Label sample data, distinguish a proposed fix from a published fix, and explain what the product cannot do. Synthic’s product facts and measurement method are examples of this approach.

Make the important pages easy to find

Use descriptive internal links, distinct page titles, accurate descriptions and canonical URLs. Put intended indexable URLs in a sitemap and advertise that sitemap in robots.txt. Use structured data to describe real organizations, pages and software; keep its claims aligned with visible content.

Google states that llms.txt and special AI markup are not required for its search features. An optional discovery file can help systems that use it, but publishing the file does not establish indexing, ranking or citation eligibility.

Make one reviewed change and recheck

Choose a concrete finding: an unreadable public page, an outdated price, an unclear capability description or a missing explanation of a real workflow. Attach the original evidence and proposed revision. Review the destination and permissions before publishing.

Recheck delivery at the original URL, then compare later answers under the same collection conditions. Record both the edit and the measurement window. Review Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools for actual discovery and indexing; answer samples alone cannot establish organic search traffic.

Build independent evidence over time

Useful third-party product reviews, genuine customer stories and relevant editorial coverage can give readers additional sources to evaluate. Obtain permission and evidence for customer claims. Do not publish fabricated testimonials or buy inauthentic mentions to manufacture authority.

Track completed audit, evidence review and a saved or exported action as a useful first workflow. Mentions, citations, organic visits and customer activation answer different questions; retain those distinctions when judging progress.
